Mission Statement
The Town Clerk's Office is often considered the core of local government, and serves as the central information point for local residents and citizens at large.
It is the mission of this office to provide quality service to town residents, town departments, as well as boards and committees in order to comply with state and local mandates of Massachusetts General Laws.
Kim D. Hopewell
Town Clerk Kim D. Hopewell has lived in West Boylston since early childhood. She graduated Magna cum laude from West Boylston High School. Before pursuing a career in town government, Ms. Hopewell earned a certificate in nursing from David Hale Fanning School of Practical Nursing in 1977 and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in both Virginia and Massachusetts.
Ms. Hopewell started her municipal career as a Certified Assessor and held the position of Assistant Assessor for the West Boylston Assessors' Office from 1995 - 1999. She then transferred to the Town Clerk's Office in 2000 where she enthusiastically assumed the position of Assistant Town Clerk. Ms. Hopewell became Town Clerk in January of 2002.
Ms. Hopewell is also the Computer Administrator, and is a qualified Notary Public and Justice of the Peace.
Ms. Hopewell takes a great deal of pride in her work and is a dedicated and conscientious elected official. She currently serves as the Chief Election Official, Chief Information Officer, Historical Society Board of Directors, Historical Commissioner, the Board of Registrars, the Bylaws Committee, the Scholarship Committee, and the LEPC.
Married to a West Boylston Firefighter, Ms. Hopewell has two grown children educated through the West Boylston School system. And is proud to annouce the addition of a beautiful grandson.
