Some household waste is prohibited from Massachusetts landfills and requires special processing. Other items are too large for regular weekly trash pickups.
Large Appliances
Curbside collection is available by appointment only. Please contact our contractor, Allied Waste Services at 508-832-9001 to make arrangements.
Electronics
Televisions, computers and computer monitors can be dropped off at the Department of Public Works at 35 Worcester Street. Each item is subject to a $20 fee.
Christmas Trees
Christmas Trees may be dropped off at the Yard Waste Composting Site off Laurel Street in January. The hours that the Composting Site will be open will be announced in December. Please see the Leaf & Yard Waste page for more information.
Paint Items and other hazardous materials
If you need to dispose of paint, contact Environsafe at 978-453-7772 to deliver household hazardous waste to theif facility at 263 Howard Street, Lowell, MA, between 9AM and 4PM.
Yard Waste
Leaves and Yard Waste is prohibited from Massachusetts landfills. The Town of West Boylston provides a Yard Waste Composting Site off Laurel where you may drop off your yard waste. Please see the Leaf & Yard Waste page for more information.
Bulk Items
You may arrage for pickup of your large waste items by appointment. Please contact Allied Waste Services at 508-832-9001 to make arrangements.
Automobile Items
Car batteries and waste motor oil can be dropped off at the Department of Public Works facility during working hours.
